Hi Guys,
As you all have noticed, i have made some movies. I'm planning to make a regular movie about once a week/two weeks. These movies will be there as advertisement for the 77th, and also for fun. Next to that, there could be some fragments that will help you with your landings, navigation, turning, twisting and flipping .

Great idea Uti, I'm sure we'd all love some action video's.
Now can I give you one tip on taking off with an even greater loadout: - Keep your flaps on raised untill the bridge, then put them on landing and as soon you lose the deck raise your gear. This gives you less drag and an greater airspeed at the end of the deck. Hope it works a little!

Short combat video #1
About Learning moment #1: As you can see, the P-38 moves up on the target quite fast. Instead of taking the time, the player ends up firing a couple of wild shots before he has to bank away, to avoid overshooting or an aircollision. It could also be that he moved away to avoid the fighter behind him. As you can see later on in that scene, both reasons to move away are bad choices:
- Instead of banking away, he could have pulled an airbrake: put your engine power back to 0%, and see if that is enough. Otherwise hover over him for a while to let him gain some more distance on you before throttling up again.
- By banking away, he gives the target behind him a nice shot. AI is clever: They only need to turn half the turn you make, to get in close range. By turning straight, you give the enemy chance to shoot your cockpit - If he hits your player, you're dead..!
- Always communicate. As you may have seen, the enemy following the P-38 was already pursued by another plane.
That's it for this week. Next up is landings. If you have any comment, or additional (useful..!) info, please post it here.

nice vid but your wrong about the first lesson you SHOULD keep turning if your being chased because if you fly straight the enemy only has to line up and fire. yes by turning your closing the range BUT you can use that as a advantage by using the manoeuvre the flat scissors etc that the tables will be turned reall quikly
